I have always loved the outdoors and I am quite the adrenaline junkie, so when I discovered mountain biking it was the perfect fit and I totally fell in love with it. Since then my life has revolved around riding and racing my bike. I grew up in a suburb of Los Angeles, but within my first few months on the bike I had moved to Mammoth, CA, a small mountain town with a bike park I could ride every day. It was there that I gained the confidence and skills that I needed to be successful in the racing world. Since then I have moved to Big Bear, CA, another small town in the mountains where I can focus on riding my bike and being outside.
I love to travel, and mountain biking has given me the perfect reason to load up my bike and go on road trips to discover new places and new trails. I love all the interesting and beautiful places I get to experience during my race season. My goal is to have as much adventure in my life as I can, and mountain biking has certainly helped me do that!
When I am not the bike I enjoy backpacking, camping and snowboarding.
Mountain biking has had such a positive impact on my life and I like to try to share that with people and get others, especially women, on bikes. Riding has given me the gifts of fitness, confidence, independence and perseverance.
I am 20 years old and have been racing for three years. I am looking forward to getting my upgrade and racing 2011 as my first Pro season.
