I was born January 4th 1991, in Victoria B.C. I have lived my entire life on the west coast of Vancouver Island. I have been riding on 2 wheels since the age of 4 and have always had an adrenaline to do the extreme on a bike. My desire to play sports keeps my mind focused and active which keeps me on the go.
My first event was the 2004 Advil Outdoor Show and from there it has all been an experience that I wouldn't change. I have been very fortunate to have an extremely supportive family who has always been there for me. The summer of 2005 was the highlight of my biking career so far. I raced in my first Norba in Sandpoint, Idaho and was able to meet all the coolest female pro riders who were all very supportive of me.
I love to race both cross-country and downhill, plus ride the local skate parks and the dirt jumps. I am hoping to be riding some road races as well. For the past 4 years I have been racing cross country on a Oryx Hurricane 475, until June when I was hit by a truck when I was riding home from a ride with the Dirty Girlz. That put my body in a state its never been in before, the only place I could go was physio and message therapy. My bike was pretty much a disaster, so this past season I raced on a Santa Cruz Super Light thanks to Jim Pearson of Aviawest. I competed at Nationals for both cross country and downhill and had the best two races of the season, if not my biking career. As well I competed in the Western Canada Games and had an amazing two races, the third wasn't my best but I gave it my all, and still did ok. I could not have done any of this without Andrew my physiotherapist, Lain my massage therapist, Steve Lund with Team Aviawest/Rocky Mountain, and of course my family and friends who supported me through the hard times and helped keep my spirits high and my focus on what I wanted strong. I accomplished 3 of my 4 goals I set out at the beginning of the season, which made my entire season worthwhile.
I would also like to thank all my sponsors Loeka Clothing (It's going to be another kill'r year! We are gunna rip it up again!) North Park Bike Shop, Tri Flow Lubricants and Straitline Components. Without them it would not be the same and I most likely wouldn't be where I am today or where I want to be tomorrow.
